HR Generalist

As an HR Generalist at IGM, you will play a critical role in influencing our culture and the success of our talent acquisition and retention.  In this position, you must have a deep appreciation for the “human” in Human Resources.  You’ll have an opportunity to work with a fast-growing team that is passionate about our mission to treat cancer.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with our VP of HR to deliver effective HR programs
  • Provide support and coaching to employees and managers on policies and processes
  • Oversee and improve on-boarding and off-boarding programs, including coordinating IGM’s new hire orientation
  • Maintain and regularly audit all electronic employee files
  • Provide a very important bridge between HR and employees
  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve our employee benefits
  • Support employee benefits administration in partnership with our broker
  • Assist in creating and maintaining project management timelines for HR related programs
  • Support immigration and visa processing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a fast-growing biotech/life sciences environment
  • Solid understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and HR best practices
  • Extremely strong customer service orientation required
  • Comfortable working with all of levels of an organization
  • Able to think “out of the box”
  • Strong communication skills
  • A “roll up your sleeves” mentality
  • Able to wear multiple hats and manage competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience in benefits administration
  • Strong understanding of HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably BambooHR
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly flexible and adaptive to change
  • Able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Able to engage, inspire and influence people
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite
